Our Rooms

Opportunities for family members to be involved with their children’s time at Thornbury Nest. We work with you as parents to help your child be the best they can be. We listen to you and get to know your child to guide them through a wide range of activities according to their interests.

Our children experience a huge range of activities both at our nursery and on trips to the local community, exploring their way through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and beyond.

Whilst there is never a dull moment and plenty of excitement (and an occasional tear) there is always a calm, nurturing environment, always ready to help children reflect on what they have learned.

Our Nursery

Our nursery is based on the outskirts of Thornbury, just off of the A38. Each room has been designed with supporting each child's development in all areas; whether this is having soft carpeted areas for our non-mobile babies or having access to different climbing apparatus for our Pre-School children. All of the ground floor rooms have free flow access to the garden so the children are able to experience the outdoors in all weathers.

We have a bespoke curriculum which is made by our room leaders and managers to ensure that we are providing excellent quality opportunities throughout the children's days.

Our meals are healthy and nutritious; we provide breakfast, a mid morning snack, lunch and a light bite in the afternoon. We are able to cater to any and all dietary requirements and preferences. Currently our lunch is being provided by an outside company called Early Years Catering. Fresh drinking water is always available. If you would like to see a copy of the menus, please contact us!
